LOCO-LEE’S was founded by inventor Lee Wheelbarger.  As a long time HO collector, and modeler himself, he found that it was hard to find qualified people to do custom installation of DCC and lighting.  In addition, alot of his friends were having difficulty programming their locomotives as well. In fact, over 80% of people that purchase DCC locomotives can't even program a 4 digit address. Since, he was having numerous requests from other people, asking him to do work on their locomotives, Lee decided to open LOCO-LEE’S. 

So why is it, that so many people want Lee to work on their locomotives?
To start with, he brings over 25 years of electronics engineering and invention to model railroading. He also works with some of the industry leaders in DCC to help them develop what will be the most advanced DCC control systems in the world.  Moreover, his knowledge and understanding of electronics, combined with his love of locomotives has created some of the most prototypical locomotives on the planet!  In the words of a gentlemen that was admiring some of Lee’s work at a recent show, "The only way you could see something more realistic than that, would be to go stand on the main line!"
